The God who Redeems
It’s easy to feel stuck, trapped by our past mistakes, shame, and the lie that we’re too far gone for change. But Rahab’s story reminds us that no one is beyond God’s grace.
Rahab was a woman with a painful past, living in Jericho, yet when she chose to trust in God, her entire life was transformed. She risked everything to protect two Israelite spies, believing that “the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below” (Joshua 2:11).
Because of her faith, Rahab wasn’t just spared when Jericho fell, she was redeemed. God gave her a new identity and a place in the lineage of Jesus Christ Himself (Matthew 1:5).
Rahab’s story shows that when we take a step of faith, God meets us there. He can take our brokenness and create something beautiful. No matter where you are or what you’ve done, His redeeming love can make all things new. 🌸
“El Roi” The God Who Sees Me
El Roi — The God Who Sees Me
Written by Samayah Pitt | October 19
Have you ever felt misunderstood, abandoned, or completely alone? Like no one truly sees you or even tries to? In Genesis 16, we meet Hagar, a woman rejected and left to face the wilderness by herself. But even in her loneliness, she was never unseen. God found her, called her by name, and reminded her that He is El Roi — the God who sees.
When Hagar felt invisible, God reached down to comfort her, correct her, and promise her a future. Her story reminds us that no matter how hidden or hopeless we feel, the same God who saw Hagar in the desert still sees us today. He sees our pain, our efforts, and our hearts , and He promises to redeem them all.
“You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13
